A Toronto labor arbitrator has ruled that Air Canada must rehire with back wages a man the company fired following his pot conviction. Poole, an aircraft, mechanic, countered that he was unjustly discharged, since he only indulged in grass-smoking when off duty. The arbitrator said the evidence showed (hat Poole was able to perform his duties and that his absences did not stem from marijuana use.
